Melody Davidson Expectations Grow With The Women’s Canadian Hockey Team

After the great achievements and success from the Canadian hockey team at the Vancouver 2010, Melody Davidson is setting new goals. Davidson, who is the coach of the gold medal winning team, has set higher expectations to continue their success in the next few years to come.
Although the achievement of winning a gold medal cannot be topped, the Canadian coach believes that the goals are more than just winning medals, but rather a way to empower women in the sports industry.
Pushing these boundaries especially with young team players including Marie-Phillip Poulin, 19 and Jocelyne Lamoureux, 21, has it's pros and cons which Melody Davidson is finding out. Regardless of what media has put forth, Davidson is a firm believer that the achievements of young players continues to grow through her positive encouragement, which has led them to success at a much young age than any other players in the past.
